As part of our growth, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Support Technician to enhance our team’s capabilities. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standard of network and fibre equipment configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance that our customers expect.

Job Summary

In this vital role, you’ll be configuring, installing, and maintaining a range of network and fibre equipment, including routers, Wi-Fi devices, and Wi-Fi links. You will be the backbone of our technical operations, providing stellar customer support and ensuring our network infrastructure operates smoothly and efficiently.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Configuration and Installation: Set up and maintain routers, Wi-Fi devices, Wi-Fi links, and other network and fibre equipment.
  • Customer Support: Deliver outstanding service by addressing inquiries and resolving technical issues swiftly.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network and fibre-related problems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Quality Assurance: Adhere to company policies to maintain network quality and security.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside the team to enhance network performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to contribute to our growth and innovation.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Experience: At least 2 years in a similar role, preferably with an Internet Service Provider.
  • Technical Skills: Deep understanding of networking and fibre technologies, with hands-on experience in configuring routers, Wi-Fi devices, and more.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication: Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications like CCNA, CCNP, or Network+ are advantageous.

Technical Requirements

  • Proficient in configuring routers across various brands.
  • Capable of troubleshooting and diagnosing network-related issues.
  • Experienced with Ubiquiti wireless devices and basic Mikrotik setup/configuration.

Join Us

This full-time position offers a competitive salary between R5,000.00 and R6,000.00 per month. If you are a passionate Support Technician eager to make an impact in a growing company, we would love to hear from you.
